The assault caused the temporary shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Officers detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
